Club Update – Monday 23 March, 2020 – 1.30pm

The message from government is clear. The COVID-19 situation is deteriorating. It is critical that we adapt our behaviours and strictly follow the protocols recommended by the authorities.
With the situation constantly changing, the Board is working to keep members up to date with the impact at the Club. Decisions are being made by the Government and it may take some time for us to consider the implications. Members are requested to follow the website as it will have the latest news.
As of now, the clubhouse is shut except for the proshop and locker-rooms. The course remains open for social golf with all golf to be booked online. No food or drinks are available going forward. Guests are not permitted to enter the property under any circumstances. The entrance gates will open 15 minutes prior to the first tee time.
Modifications to the timesheets for new bookings will be implemented. When they become effective, for security reasons, the front gates will open at 800am and close at 600pm. All bookings must be made via electronic timesheets.
Members who have their clubs and or buggies stored at the Club should collect them no later than 500pm Tuesday 24 March as access cannot be guaranteed after that time Motorised buggies and pull-buggies will no longer be available effective immediately. Members needing to access their lockers should also do so by 500pm Tuesday 24 March.
We have brought in these measures to assist in containing the spread of COVID-19. Our primary concern is the health and well-being of our Members and Staff. I ask for your understanding as we make these difficult decisions.
A couple of key messages –
- Social distancing is a MUST – two club-lengths!
- Any member or employee who feels sick with cold-like symptoms must not attend the club under any circumstances.
- Members who are at a greater risk of suffering seriously from the virus, including older members and those with chronic illness should seriously consider their need to visit the club at all.
- It is vitally important that if a member or staff member tests positive to COVID-19, they must inform the club as soon as possible. If this has occurred, anyone testing positive will be contacted by the State/Territory Department of Health in relation to contact tracing.
