The PGATour has advised that there are some special opportunities for VGC Members to be involved in the Presidents Cup to be held at Royal Melbourne GC between 9 and 15 December.

 

Transportation Drivers: 30 positions

Transportation Driver Volunteers will drive the Official Tournament Vehicles and be required to transport Players, Event VIPs, Officials and others as requested to and from the airport, hotels, The Royal Melbourne Golf Club and/or other destinations. Transportation Drivers must be aged over 25 years old and have a clean driving record as the Tournament will conduct a Drivers Licence and Police background check.

Static Hole Marshals: 14 positions

Static Hole Marshals maintain gallery and noise control throughout course. The designated post of a Static Hole Marshal can be on a tee, fairway, green or grandstand depending on the infrastructure on the allocated hole. Static Hole Marshals must have the ability to think and act logically with player and spectator safety top-of-mind. Sound knowledge and etiquette of the game of golf is essential. Static Hole Marshals will be required to coordinate with other Roving and Static Marshals to be ideally positioned at all times.
